Kevin Smith became popular for his role as Iphicles on “Hercules: The Legendary Journeys.” He then went on to play the dangerous Greek god, Ares on “Xena: Warrior Princess.” In 2002, he went to China to shoot a martial arts film “Warriors of Virtue 2” where he worked with the stuntman from “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.” After completing his work he celebrated with staff from the Bejing Film Studio and then decided to climb a prop tower on the China Television film studio grounds and fell several stories causing severe head injuries. He later fell into a coma was taken off of life support.
