Actress Salma Hayek cut her teeth starring in telenovela’s in her home country before giving a try at tinsel town here in the U.S. The Mexican actress had her breakout role portraying the artist Frida Kahlo in the Academy Award winning 2002 movie Frida. Only at 5 foot, 2 inches, Hayek’s 20-year career includes over 40 movie roles and numerous television guest spots. The sultry actress tied the knot to French billionaire and the father of her child Francios Henri-Pinault in 2009. Hayek has been involved in activism for quite a few years and has recently partnered with superstar singer Beyonce and Frida Gianni for the Gucci campaign “Chime For Change,” which aims to spread female empowerment.
