Singer Jordin Sparks became the youngest ever to be crowned winner of “American Idol” at the tender age of 17. The Phoenix, Arizona native and daughter of former football player Phillippi Sparks probably has her father to thank for her six-foot stature. Last summer, Sparks famously dropped 50 lbs after a bout with an illness forced her to address her health. “I got really sick in the fall of 2010 right after Broadway ” Sparks revealed. “And I was just like, I am not going to take my health for granted anymore. This changes right here, right now.”
