Marisa Tomei

Actress Marisa Tomei landed her first professional acting gig playing Marci Thompson on “As the World Turns” in 1984. The Brooklyn native was enrolled at NYU at the time and following her heart, Tomei decided to drop out of college to pursue her dreams. Her gamble paid off; Tomei earned an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for the 1992 comedy My Cousin Vinny, co-starring Joe Pesci. Tomei starred in last year’s Parental Guidance with Billy Crystal and Bette Midler.
