This is the man who keeps coming in and out of Loretta Divine’s life, coaxing her with smooth words and good loving, only to break her heart in the end. Not only does he disappear while heading out for Chinese food, he takes her jewelry too, perhaps so he can buy bus fare. In the end, he keeps coming back with flowers, begging for forgiveness.
