Chuck Berry And His Videotapes
A rock and roll pioneer and the man behind the duck walk, Chuck Berry is beloved in the music community, and for good reason. But with the law, he’s had nothing but trouble since the mid-to late 40s. But it was in the late ’80s that he found himself in a very creepy and ratchet situation that many people aren’t aware of. The owner of a restaurant in Missouri, Berry was sued by a number of women who found out that Berry had put a video camera in the woman’s bathroom. And while he said he did it to catch an employee he suspected of stealing, videos were found of the women in and using the restroom in his home after a raid (including a minor in the bathroom), so he decided to settle with 59 women and took a charge for possession of marijuana (which was found with the tapes) to duck child abuse charges.
