Cleveland Gary establishes a $1,000,000 entrepreneur fund to help small business owners in the Urban Communities finance their products from manufactures. Former Miami Dolphin Cleveland Gary’s Healthway Shopping Network Inc. plans to sell up to 7.5 million shares at 75 cents apiece in a $5.62 million initial public offering, according to an SEC filing.
The Palm Beach Gardens-based seller of health products said it would use most of the proceeds for capital expenditure and working capital. Its shares would be listed on the Over-the-Counter Bulletin Board.
As CEO, Gary holds a 71.2 percent stake in the company. Gary also is the founder of the Black Shopping Channel and the host of “The Cleveland Gary Show” on local radio.
Healthway, which plans to market its products on the Internet and through TV infomercials, reported a loss of $5,747 in 2009, down from a loss of $42,969 in 2008. It has yet to report any revenue.
