The very beautiful R&B/funk/rock singer Joi and the very interesting looking Big Gipp of Goodie Mob fame were another married couple from the same industry who brought a baby into the world. The two had their little girl in 1996, and her name is Keypsiia Blue Daydreamer. She is the child sitting in Joi’s belly as she rocked a sheer number to croon with D’Angelo in the “Lady” remix visuals. But relationship wise, things fell apart as Gipp worked hard on his music while Joi stayed home to tend to her family. As she once said in a lyric post their divorce, “The rap game stole my man from me…. I’ll always love him, even though he forgot how to.” But in an interview with Black Voices, she also had good things to say about their time together and the child that it produced: ” What Gipp and I were was timeless. I’m glad it was a part of my life and my love history, and we have an extraordinary daughter that came from that love.”
