Am I the only one who thought the “Love & Hip-Hop Atlanta” reunion was on 10 last night? Most VH1 reality TV reunions tend to get a little rache’ by the end of the night, but this time around, the cast was ready to go from the time the camera man said “we’re rolling.” I don’t know if it was the fact that Mona-Scott Young was hosting or maybe they had a little mini-bar situation before the cameras starting rolling, but trust us, this reunion was, in the words of Karlie Redd’s wanna-be boo Roscoe Dash, all the way turnt up.
In case you missed a few bits last night — or simply need a good laugh/a reason to feel better about your life this morning — here are the moments you had to see on part 1 of the reunion. PS: The clip below is where it all started.
Mona Scott-Young Knowing First-hand Joseline is a Woman?
If you thought that whole scene in episode 2 when Joseline conveniently took a pregnancy test in a public bathroom with camera men on standby was triflin,’ the faux-reality of that scene got a lot more “special” last night. When the discussion of just how much woman Joseline really is came up, Mona said that she could vouch for the fact that Ms. Hernandez is all woman because she apparently took a pregnancy test, i.e. peed on a stick, fully naked in front of Mona —and then proceeded to take a “non-scripted” pregnancy test on-camera. Me thinks Mona is getting a little too close to her talent. Who the hell agrees to watch someone take a pregnancy test in the buff?
The Revelation of Shenellica Bettencourt
If I were Mona, I would have settled on this throwback mugshot of Joseline rather than seeing her naked body to prove she’s a woman. Last night, Joseline’s criminal past came out when the reality star was asked to explain who exactly Shenellica Bettencourt is. That’s when Jos basically said she had been arrested so many times she couldn’t remember and one of the times she decided she wasn’t going to give the cops her real name, and naturally the first alias that came to mind was Shenellica Bettencourt. Yes, this is real life here. It’s funny though that Joseline looks more feminine in her mugshot than she does after all the work she’s had done.
Lemme See Ya Medical Records
Thanks to Memphitz nasty little comments about making K. Michelle when she exposed his physical abuse, we knew the singer had some work done, but what we’ve been trying to figure out all season is just how real some of her cast mate’s body parts are. Last night, Mimi, Rasheeda, and Erica said they were 100 percent, authentic, untouched women, while K. Michelle and Joseline admitted to having their teeth and breasts done. K attributed her ample backside, which many think is fake, to her mama and Jiffy cornbread, while Karlie said all she’s had done is a boob job, adding that if she was going to get a booty she would have gotten a ba donk a donk. Sounds good, but after K. put her butt on blast as being lopsided and messy, I think some people feel Karlie’s not owning up to getting a few backroom butt shots.
Birth Certificate Please
Something else Karlie refuses to own up to is her age. After K. Michelle called Karlie an old “Harriet Tubman b***h” and said that she marched with Martin Luther King in the ’60s, Mona gave Karlie a chance to fess up about how old — or young — she is. Karlie’s answer? “I’m beautiful…I’m pretty…I’m not going to reveal my age.” I don’t know about you but that sounds like the classic line of someone too old to just now be trying to make it in the rap game, particularly by preying on 22-year-olds. Karlie wouldn’t even say how old her daughter is because she knows people would have started doing the math and come to the conclusion that when it comes to her career, she’s “neva gonna get it, neva gonna get it.”
Scrappy’s Probation Officer Might Put His Paws On Him
When it came to clarifying what really went down during Stebie and Scrappy’s fight, Scrap only had one thing to say: “I put them paws on him.” We all figured that going by sheer looks and demeanor alone, but the way the footage was shone, you couldn’t quite tell. Mona admitted that the scene was edited some to cut down on the violence shown on screen so I think it’s safe to say that when Stevie was shown asking why security was dragging him, ol’ boy had just woken up after Mr. O-k-k-k himself put them paws on ’em and put him to sleep.
Unfortunately, Scrappy might have a little trouble in the legal department because of the fight, as someone in the audience put him on blast and asked how his probation officer responded to the altercation. His facial expression was priceless.
Mimi is a Self-admitted Lost Cause
Remember on the last episode of the season when Mimi got buck and kicked Stevie out of her client’s house and told him it was over? I hope you didn’t believe she meant that because last night when Mona asked if she was really done with Stevie, Mimi pulled the customary, he’s the father of my child line, then said she would “never say never.” And now I ask that you all bow your heads with me in a moment of prayer for this 40-something-year-old lost soul.
Joseline is a Woman of God
And speaking of prayer, Joseline admitted that she didn’t care what anyone had to say about her and how she does what she does because she’s a woman of God. Pause for laughter. Just so you know, the side-eye I’m sure you just gave when you read that is exactly how the audience reacted to Joseline’s admission. But it get’s worse. Joseline decided to prove her point by repeating, “I am a woman of God so f**k all ya’ll who don’t believe it, God knows my heart.” And apparently Mona knows her vagina. File Joseline under the hopeless category too.
What was your favorite moment from last night’s reunion?
