Whether anyone likes it or not, reality TV is here to stay and for as long as there are cameras, there will always be someone ready for their close up. The following personalities are repeat offenders. One reality TV show just isn’t enough to satisfy their thirst.
Karlie is a lot of things and one of them is persistent. She’s been trying to make it happen for many years and hasn’t missed an opportunity. In 2010, Karli got a spot on VH1’s show, “Scream Queens.” The reality show was looking for an actor to star in the latest entry to the Saw franchise. She got eliminated but got the exposure. These days, Karli’s on Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta and still looking for her chance and a producer for her music, even if she needs a clue that the singing career is just not gonna work…
The drama between Chrissy and Jim Jones isn’t enough for just one show. Everyone’s heard Chrissy get on Jim about putting a ring on it on “Love & Hip Hop.” Everyone’s seen her get more than just a little bit aggressive at times too. She has promised a more mature approach on her upcoming reality TV show spin off that’s set to feature her and Jim. She’ll probably be on him about actually going through with the wedding. There may be no more knock down and drag out fights (and shoe-less stomps, which are her thing), but the drama will still be there, ESPECIALLY if Mama Jones shows up!
Deion used to be known as a football icon. These days, you can have your pick of adjectives to describe him and some of them are far from great. The tide started to shift when he and estranged wife Pilar got their own reality T.V. show entitled, “Deion & Pilar Prime Time Love.” A lot of times he was the extra kid that Pilar had to take care of and it was played off for laughs, but it was a hint at what was to come. Pilar says the show led to their divorce but Deion must not be superstitious. He and Tracey Edmonds, who are officially a couple now, will allegedly be starring in a new reality T.V. show. He’s going to be a bachelor, single father and romancing Tracey for the world to see this time around.
Shay ‘Buckeey’ Johnson
Shay was just one of many girls competing for Flavor Flav’s love on VH1’s “Flavor of Love 2,” and went toe to toe with Mo’Nique on “Charm School.” She had her moments of shine but got clocked by Flav and never stood a chance against New York. Shay looks to have found love after all with Lil Scrappy, but it’s just like déjà vu all over again on “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta.” Instead of having to go up against New York, she has to face off with Erica Dixon. She was actually the in-the-dark “friend-most-definitely-with-benefits” while he was with Erica, but Shay is now claiming Scrappy as all hers, free and clear. Everyone should know for sure by the end of the season.
On the “Real World: Los Angeles,” Tami might have been using a different surname, but she was still the same Tami that folks know on “Basketball Wives.” She’s the angry black woman come to life, and she’s kept up both the crazy antics and the drama while also trying to have a serious career in television. She loves the cameras, but they rarely catch her best sides.
Real & Chance
Brothers are always in competition and these two are no different. They both wanted New York’s heart in I Love New York. After they ultimately failed, it was on to the next one; next reality T.V. show that is. I’m sure you remember “I Love Money.” Once that wrapped, the brothers had their own dating show in “Real Chance of Love.” The grand finale of sorts on their careers in reality television ended with the show, “Legend Hunters.”
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Chad is a man of many names and apparently talents. He’s played for many football teams and has still found the time to make his face known in primetime (and making all that time was just one of many things that got him cut from the Patriots…). He appeared on “Dancing with the Stars” and showed off some skills. He was also a bachelor looking for love on “The Ultimate Catch” and this fall, he and his bride Evelyn will be headlining “Ev and Ocho.” For a man who couldn’t enjoy his actual wedding and spent most of the time tweeting, an eager audience should be a belated wedding gift.
The Kardashian Family
Kim, Kris, Khloe, Kourtney, Kendall, Kylie, Lamar, Bruce, Scott and any other Kardashian not mentioned live for the spotlight and make up 99 percent of reality T.V. That may be a slight exaggeration, but it feels like it. I’m not sure how many reality shows one family needs to keep a roof over their heads, but the Kardashians have exceeded the maximum. There’s been “Keeping Up With the Kardashians,” “Khloe & Lamar,” “Khloe and Kourtney Take Miami” and the special, “Kim’s Fairytale Wedding.” The younger girls are also rumored to be getting their own shows. At this rate, Mason and Penelope will be starring in the “Kardashians Take The Playground” by next year.
