How do you preserve your roller set?
Once you do a roller set, it’s great to keep heat OFF of your hair. You can get a good week and a half out of a roller set if you take care of your hair properly. There are a couple of ways to keeping your curls looking nice while staying away from the flat iron.
Rollers
Instead of using a ton of hard rollers like you may have used for the initial roller set, use a couple of soft rollers. Take 5 velcro rollers and grab sections of your hair and roll them up and secure. This can help maintain your curls.
Pin Curls
Pin curls are my favorite. You take medium sized sections of hair and wrap them around close to your head. You secure the pin curl with a bobby pin or clip. If you do this every night, your curls will stay in place and last you awhile. In the morning, you carefully take out the clips and let your curls fall.
Loose High Ponytail
Take your curls and put them in a loose high ponytail. The key is to not disrupt the curl and to not put the band too tight. It should be a loose hair tie that allows the hair to breath and will not leave creases in your hair.
No matter what way you preserve your roller set at night, remember to wear a satin cap or get a satin or silk pillowcase.
