The consumption of sugary drinks such as sodas and “fruit drinks” is associated with the rise in obesity and diabetes in both children and adults. Sugary drinks also contribute to tooth decay. They often replace healthy drinks such as fresh fruit juice and water. Feeling thirsty? Grab a glass of water.  Finding it difficult to break the soda habit? Try seltzer water and fresh fruit juice.
