While similar to cuckolding, hotwifing differs in that it typically lacks elements of submission or humiliation. Instead, the husband may be an active participant, and the experience is consensual and free of embarrassment.
A 2018 study by Justin Lehmiller found that approximately 45% of men have sexual fantasies about watching their wives with another partner, and some choose to act on these desires. In today’s technology-driven world, it isn’t hard for married couples to get their hotwifing on. According to Vice, the freaky trend has exploded over the last decade thanks to dating apps like 3rder, Feeld, and Pineapple, which allow open-minded couples to connect with like-minded partners for consentual group sex or other kinky experiences.

Couples say hotwifing has been incredible for their relationship.
For some couples, the act of sharing a sexual experience with an outsider has strengthened their relationship. One happily married man named Logan said he loved watching his wife, Sienna, “play” and have fun while having sex with another man.
“It’s kind of like letting your friend test drive your car,” Logan said during an interview obtained by the Daily Mail on March 29. “He gets to see how well it rides. He’s got to give it back, but it creates a sense of pride. You get a little taste of what my life is like.”
The married couple, according to the New York Post, had been living the hotwife lifestyle for two years, but Alex and his wife, Rebecca, revealed that they were new to the steamy trend.
Before meeting Rebecca, Alex said he never had “a lot of experience in the realm of kinky,” as there were always things he wanted to explore, but his previous partners hadn’t been open or willing. For him, it all came down to understanding each other’s intentions, something he was able to do from the beginning with his wife.
Rebecca agreed, noting that they built a strong foundation of trust before she agreed to have sex with her husband and another man.
