You might know Chef Catore from The Food Network’s Chopped or KitchenCrash. Catore is a household name today, but her road to success was not a smooth one. Once you understand Catore’s journey, you’ll know why she embodies the spirit of a maverick.

Catore is the owner of mobile chef and catering company Taste of Catore in New York City, but the culinary and entrepreneurial life didn’t find her right away. Catore was a social worker first — being a chef had never crossed her mind. However, while battling ovarian cancer and a brain tumor, Catore passed out at work. Once she recovered, she knew she needed to change the direction of her life. That was when a friend suggested Catore become a chef, and after she attended business and culinary school, Taste of Catore was born.

Being a chef is always a fast-paced experience, but that is only amplified when one runs a mobile business and in New York City of all places. Having a truck that is as swift and savvy as she is is essential to Catore’s business. A great truck gives Catore the confidence to focus on her business and navigate the crazy streets of New York — and her life as a chef. A true Maverick needs a durable truck to fuel their goals, like the Ford Maverick.
