Grace Jones shaved her head back in the 1960’s. The Jamaican-born model/actress/singer shaved her head in order to stand out.
“It made me look more abstract, less tied to a specific race or sex or tribe,” she said according to Vogue. “I was Black, but not Black; woman, but not woman; American, but Jamaican; African, but science fiction.”
