When Pauly D posted a three-second clip on Twitter with the caption “Just in the house if ya need me,” he knew what he was doing. The Jersey Shore alum popped out during quarantine with a full beard, tan skin, and more muscles than we remember from his MTV days, and Black women quickly let it be known they been knew the reality star was fine and, yes, they absolutely do need him.
Pauly D, now 39, was the first member of the Jersey Shore cast to get his own spin-off show, The Pauly D Project. Since then, he’s been apart of the the cast of Famously Single on the E! network; WEtv’s Marriage Bootcamp: Reality Stars 11 with Aubrey O’Day; and most recently Double Shot at Love on MTV. From the sounds of things, the “100% Italian” Rhode Island native who welcomed daughter, Amabella Sophia, in 2013 is single. And based on these responses to his Twitter video, there are plenty of Black women who would like to mingle. Check out the hilarious reactions to his COVID-19 beard and bronze skin on the next few pages.
Shock
Look, there aren’t many men who can start trending just from not shaving for two months. Pauly D sent us all into a state of shock with his short video, which is why we all had to immediately start talking, tweeting, and sharing.
Disbelief
As someone who never watched Pauly D, but had seen his face a few times, I can definitely relate to women saying they don’t know who that man is. With a scruffy beard, Pauly looks quite different from the gelled up, slick-haired kid we’re used to.
The Glow Up
Speaking of the scruffy beard…it’s made some men look downtrodden and downright disheveled, but somehow facial hair makes Pauly D look like something we need in our lives. He may truly be the only man to glow up during these months of social distancing and we’re not mad at it.

Don’t mess with a good thing
How fitting is this meme? We all remember when Drake’s beard took him from “he’d be a good daddy” to zaddy, and that’s pretty much what’s happening here with Pauly D. Now that we’ve seen how fine he is with facial hair, neither we, nor he, can go back.
We hear you sis
If one of your girls were to randomly hit you talking about how fine Pauly D is, without the visual, we’d be in a state of confusion and dismay. But with this video, we don’t even need to hear anyone out. What’s understood don’t need to be said.

Can I have your baby?
We did say Black women were willing to risk it all, right? We already mentioned Pauly D has a seven-year-old daughter, but the way he’s looking right now, he’s got some women willing to give his baby girl a baby brother or sister.
Marry Me
First comes love, then comes marriage? Pauly’s facial hair has a few ladies contemplating pulling a Chrissy Lampkin and popping the question. That’s what happens when you’ve been cooped up too long by yourself and a man pops out looking summertime fine like this.

Is he Blackfishing?
Look, we gotta talk about it. It’s not just the beard that has Black women losing their sh-t over Pauly. It’s the fact that he popped out looking like a light-skinned Black man that has some of our panties in a bunch. We’re not mad, just saying.
We know where he came from
Speaking of “Blackfishing,” if you know geography and the history of Africa and Sicily, you know there’s a reason Pauly D popped out looking like a whole ass Black man on Beyoncé’s Internet. We don’t have time to explain here, but look up what sis is talking about in this caption. It’s facts.
