Ellen Hill Zeringue
Vice President, Marketing Detroit Tigers Inc.
As Vice President of Marketing for the Detroit Tigers, Ellen Hill Zeringue oversees the club’s marketing and promotional efforts, including all aspects of print, broadcast and digital advertising. She is the first Black woman to hold this position and has been working with the Tigers for 20 seasons. The Spelman college grad was responsible for the launch of the team’s successful “Who’s Your Tiger” slogan. Zeringue has worked hard to create new opportunities for women in the sports industry and has paid pay tribute Minnie Forbes, who owned the Detroit Stars Negro Leagues Baseball team from 1956-1958 and Mamie ‘Peanut’ Johnson, the first female pitcher to play in the Negro Leagues.
