Do you know your love language?
Whether you’re single, in a relationship or married, you should read The 5 Love Languages by Gary Chapman. It’s an essential read for anyone looking to learn the ways in which they like to have love shown to them, and the ways in which they tend to express their love to their partner. When you know your love language, that can be communicated to your partner so that they can take care of you in the way that you need.
The five love languages are words of affirmation, acts of service, receiving gifts, quality time and physical touch.
If you are someone who greatly appreciates quality time, you won’t be so fulfilled in your relationship if your partner thinks the best way to show you love is to give you gifts.
Now that you get how it works, what are the love languages of your favorite stars? For Hollywood heartthrob Michael B. Jordan, he says he likes to give love in a combination of ways.
While chatting with friend Alicia Keys, whose “Show Me Love” music video he recently starred in, she asked him which love language he most identifies with, and he said he’s an acts of service, quality time and physical touch kind of guy.
“I’m more or less acts of service, but it’s a mixture,” he said. “It’s like acts of service, quality time and physical touch. Because I feel like acts of service and quality time kind of goes hand-in-hand. Because like, you know, with us always being so crazy busy and ripping and running, I consider my time very precious. So if I’m taking time out of like, just that hustle, that grind, I’m taking time from that to do something for somebody else, I consider that quality time and acts of service. So I feel like that’s one, and then physical touch.”
As for what he’s looking for in a woman to love him though, the actor told Essence last year what the physical attributes were that he appreciates.
“The eyes, eyes are important to me. You can tell a lot. The eyes–they don’t tell lies,” he said. “The neck, the hands.”
“There’s something about a woman’s hands. It’s important,” he added. “Of course, I’m interested in the lips and body. [But] I’m not just looking for looks, I’m into the whole person. Also her smell, how the woman smells. It’s crucial.”
While Michael tends to keep his private life very private, he was most recently dating IG model Ashlyn Castro, was rumored to be getting to know actress Kiki Layne, and was seen wining and dining model Cindy Bruna.
