Sometimes we see them on the red carpet, or at premieres, but we often don’t know who they are.  They literally put their lives on the line to protect the A list of actors we all love.  They are the stunt people, daring specialists who bring action sequences to life! Sure, we give them a nod once in a while, but for the most part, they are ignored. If white stunt people are invisible in Hollywood, then you can imagine what’s it like being a Black stunt woman in Hollywood. According to Jwaundace Candece, her career is just that – ultra invisible – and while she has enjoyed the obscurity of the past 10 years or so, she is ready to step out of the shadows. Jwaundace (pronounced: JA-wAn-dese), has been a successful stunt woman  since 2001, she has performed her own stunts as an action actress most recently in Madea’s Big Happy Family, Detroit 1-8-7 and  Treme. She has doubled for Queen Latifah in  Bringing Down the House, Scary Movie 3 and Last Holiday. Her completed projects include two summer blockbusters, “The Fields” ” and “The Help” where she did stunts for Viola Davis.
