Tuesday was actress La La Anthony‘s birthday. And while the Power star could have rang in her 36th year with family, we now know one important part of her brood wasn’t present. Carmelo has been overseas in France for a while for a “business retreat,” as he said. On Wednesday, a day after sending his lady birthday love on Instagram (which she responded “Love u too Mel” to), he found himself caught up in drama for a photo of him on a boat in the South of France with a woman who’s not La La.
However, he said the situation is harmless and that the woman was the wife of a friend who was also on the boat. He didn’t have an answer though as to why he was taking business trips to fancy parts of France on his wife’s birthday, without bringing her along.
Either way, all that didn’t keep La La in the house on her special day. She put on a super tight pink latex dress (by FashionNova by the way) and decided to step out with one of her many celeb best friends, Kim Kardashian, for a sweet trip into NYC. The ladies along with Kim’s friends Jonathan Cheban and Simon Huck hit up Ray’s Candy Store in the East Village where they enjoyed a whole host of treats. La La told her followers via InstaStories, “I just had fried Oreos for my birthday!”
The place also serves beignets, fries, shakes, fried Twinkies, fried Reeses, friend bananas, dipped cones and egg cream.
She also shared all of the well-wishes she received on her birthday from her many friends and loved ones, reposting them in her InstaStories. Interesting enough though, she didn’t repost Carmelo’s.
Overall, she seemed to have a good birthday, and a grateful one based on the message she shared in celebration of not only her born day, but her loved ones.
“Reflecting on what an amazing birthday today has been,” she wrote, “feeling so blessed for all of you & the family and friends that I have. The love is so genuine and so real. Thanks for always having my back during the good times and the bad times and never switching up on me. I LOVE YOU‼︔
