On April 23, Rohan Marley and new bride Barbara Fialho celebrated a month of marriage, and now they have something else major to commemorate — or someone else that is. They recently announced that they’re expecting their first child together. The 31-year-old Brazilian model shared the news with a video of herself cradling her baby bump while singing a song, with some help, for her unborn child. She revealed that the baby is a girl, and that she will be named Maria.
“My first gift for my daughter Maria Fialho Marley,” the translated caption reads. “May God make you always happy.”
Marley shared the video on Instagram and Fialho commented, “I love you so much my king! Thank you for making me a mother 🖤 You have my entire heart.”
As mentioned, the couple wed last month in Montes Claros, Minas Gerais, Brazil. The pair had reportedly been dating for a few years but kept their relationship private.
“We’ve been friends for four years,” Fialho told Vogue. “When we got involved, everything happened very fast, very lightly. Rohan is cheerful and very humble. Spending the day with him is fun and always very productive. He is electric and dreamy like me, and he is also my best friend.”
“In the first week of dating he started talking about the idea,” she added about the idea to get married. “I love him so much, and I felt that my dream was coming true. I always dreamed of a friendship and a love like that. It was a gift from God.”
Fialho said that she wants two kids but her new husband is hoping for “many.” As for now, they have one. This is Fialho’s first child and Marley’s eighth.
He was previously in a long-term relationship with singer/rapper Lauryn Hill, and they share five children.
