When talking about Lauryn Hill and her performances, she is more famous for her tardiness than her actual stage presence. Miss Hill is now doing a celebratory tour for the 20th anniversary of her first and only album, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill throughout Europe. Her American fans have been unhappy with her lateness and now her Europeans fans aren’t too happy with the “Ex-factor” singer either.
She issued an apology via social media saying that she and her team have been having issues adjusting to putting on a show in a different continent.
“We’re working through the kinks of moving the production to Europe, with time changes and curfew restrictions, we’ve had a few challenges in these early shows,” she wrote on Twitter. “With deep gratitude I come on stage to perform an album that means so much to so many,” she continued. “Every day we push past inertia to present something sincere. Thank you for coming, supporting and for your patience and understanding.”
Things started off a bit rocky after the former Fugees member announced her tour. Concerts set to happen in New Jersey, Florida, Virginia and North Carolina were all cancelled due to “unforeseen circumstances” regarding production. Then Miami, Atlanta and Nashville showes were pushed back from July/August to October.
Hill will be touring throughout the UK and Denmark until December 10th when she wraps up her tour in Stockholm, Sweden.
