The former Luke Cage star told ESSENCE back in 2016 that he and Davis grew up in the same place and were cousins. At the time though, they had yet to meet.
“I know her family from my hometown, but we’ve never met,” he said. “I’m sure our paths will cross at some point.”
Hopefully that’s changed since then.
