Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas of TLC has come a long way since creepin’ in colorful satin pajamas. ESSENCE reports the singer has recently been tapped to be the face of DAYO, a fashion brand that focuses on empowering and uplifting women. The company whose name is the Yoruba translation for “happiness has arrived” chose Thomas to be featured in the launch of their intimates and lounge wear apparel. CEO Yolanda White shares how the singer who melody always balanced bandmate’s Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins rasp, embodies the energy of the brand:

“Chilli embodies everything that DAYO is recognizing and celebrating in today’s woman.”

Thomas herself agrees that home is where the heart is for many women:

“I believe self-love is the foundation of true beauty. For most women home is the core, it’s an extension of self. I love that DAYO is empowering women to define themselves on their own terms.”

The line features wrap dresses, crop tops and skirts for women who multi-task their way through each day. Most importantly, DAYO recognizes that whether you’ve been in all-day meetings or waiting in the pick-up line at preschool when you get home you just want to get comfortable and not necessarily look like you’re taking it down for the night.

The pieces which range from $200-$300 incorporate 100% natural fibers, are wrinkle resistant and American-made. If you’re looking to splurge this holiday on the women in your life with clothing that they can be sexy and comfortable in all at the same time, visit DayoWomen.com.
