It’s the end of the week, madames! Time to check in with our editors and see what they’re loving and not so loving about the week:

China’s List

Location Love: Being in a CAR! All I can say is, “I used to have a problem with “ballers” and “cars,” until I drove inside a baller’s car.

Person I Love: Jay-Z, because it hit me after reading this piece, just how much he did bring Hot back.

News Story Love: Obama’s just passed 2 major reforms–finance & health–within 1.5 years of being in office. No matter what you think of his politics (and how watered down great ideas tend to become on the Hill), ya can’t front on his verve.

Book Love: The Glass Castle,” by Jeannette Walls. Like Nina said to Darius about Maya Angelou in the movie Love Jones, “she makes me wanna burn my notebook.”

Kweli’s List

Dress Love: Lala’s Vasquez married baller Carmelo Anthony and wore a stunning Vera Wang dress for her wedding in New York City. The dress was studded with crystals and rhinestones and wrapped in ivory satin. Stunning.

Song Love: I’m going to run this song down to the ground, and from the chatter going on around Twitter, lots of other people will be too. Usher’s “There Goes My Baby” is my jam (do people still say that?) And he finally released a video this week.

Movie Love: My daughter’s face as she was watching “Despicable Me” = priceless. A great, funny, sweet animated flick, with a bumping soundtrack from Pharrell, and cute little scenes like this…

Food Love: Chocolate, hands down, is my favorite thing to eat. This week, my chocolate indulgence of choice: brownies. I even begged my mom to make me some. Here’s a great recipe.

Danielle’s List

Event Love: Aliya S. King, writer of “Platinum” had

Drink Love: No, I’m not an alcoholic…. although real alcoholics never admit their issues. Nonetheless, when a co-worker brought this in I shrieked with joy. I’m not a vodka drinker, but this bottle is too cute.

Shoe Love: I had soo much fun putting together the “OMG! 20 Bangin’ Pumps We Love” piece. While I would wear them all in a heartbeat, I have to admit my favorite pair were the Plattoes Heel Base sandals. I always love pieces that can be played with and changed up.

Album Love: Everyone knows I’m a bit of an old soul. This week it was all about Herbie Hancock’s “Head Hunters” album. Favorite song… “Watermelon Man” of course!
