When we were first introduced to actress Jennifer Freeman, she was just a teenager, stepping in, infamously some might say, to play Claire Kyle on My Wife and Kids after Jazz Raycole left the show after Season 1. She fit perfectly in the role, and went on to do films such as You Got Served and Johnson Family Vacation. But she stepped out of the spotlight to marry, have a daughter, and get a divorce. Since then, she’s done a few projects here and there, including BET’s Tales and the movie True to the Game, but she’s more so kept it low-key. As it turns out, she’s spent a lot of time working on herself. The beauty has used most of 2018 to work on her fitness and wellness (including emotional), and even created a challenge to inspire other people to do the same.
Freeman, who turned 33 over the weekend, has been cycling, hiking, boxing, working with a trainer (Simon Carter), and doing a little bit of everything to feel like her best self. She also created a 21-day “Journey to Loving Yourself” challenge to help her followers be more kind to themselves. And if that’s not enough, she just looks great overall, and feels the same inside. As she shared about her wellness journey, “I’ve always been active but this is honestly the hardest I’ve ever worked out in my life. I feel so much stronger not only physically but mentally. I’m so thankful for my trainer constantly challenging me and pushing me to go beyond my limits. It has taught me that even in tough seasons that I’m stronger than I think and I can handle anything that comes my way.”
