The singer and Love & Hip Hop Hollywood star sat down on TV One’s Uncensored, to reflect on her rise to stardom and her romantic past with the dreamy Hollywood actor.

K. also took time to talk about how she dealt with the birth of her son while studying at Florida A&M University and the alleged abuse from her former lover, producer Mickey “Memphitz” Wright.

But in one specific clip she spilled major tea about how she met Idris, who caught her attention when he complimented her backstage at one of her shows. K. said that before she gave Idris a shot, she was actually getting hit up by Meek Mill. But her publicist at the time convinced her to give Idris a shot.

She goes on to say that through their nine month relationship, they formed a close bond, and built what she thought was a close friendship.

But during that time when news spread that the two were dating, K. said she felt attacked by Black women. She feels that her critics made her feel like she wasn’t good enough to be with him.

“I  think that what hurt– black women, black women was like, ‘She’s so ghetto. Why he date her?” she said.

She said she went to great lengths for Idris and even confronted him when he cried about not obtaining an Oscar nod for his portrayal as Nelson Mandela. She said things got crazy when she blasted him over his choice to be there for the birth of his son. At the time, K. said she was going into surgery for liposuction and made statements that she now regrets.

“I was under all types of drugs from anesthesiologist and I just remember calling him like, ‘F— that baby! F— that baby!’ Which is probably not the best thing to tell a new dad, but I did,” she said.

The two have both moved on to other relationships, Idris recently became engaged to his girlfriend Sabrina Dhowre and K. went on to date Kastan Sims, a Memphis based dentist.

In retrospect, K. said that she is also disappointed with Idris because he never stood in her honor against the backlash.

“I felt like he didn’t defend me,” said K. “I feel like when people were calling me a liar, again, about my relationship–I’ve been sitting here with this man for like nine months. I just could not believe we were spending so much time together he just did not come out and say, ‘Stop attacking her!’”

After the pair broke K. channeled her pain into her 2014 album, Anybody Wanna Buy A Heart?
