Columbus Short has found himself in hot water yet again after dodging a second court date in his ongoing divorce proceedings on Tuesday.

A judge issued an arrest warrant for Short after he failed to show up for a debtor exam, which would examine the actor’s finances, TMZ reports. The warrant was filed on Wednesday, Short’s 36th birthday.

“I’m thankful for the storm, thankful for the journey, I’m thankful for making it one more year,” he wrote on Instagram. Interesting that he seems to be unbothered by his legal woes.

Short has a long history of addiction and has battled several accusations of violence and domestic abuse.

Short is currently embroiled in a legal battle involving his estranged ex-wife Tanee McCall, whom he married in 2005. McCall and Short had a long, tumultuous relationship–the actress and dancer initially filed for divorce in 2013, then again in 2014. McCall’s second filing came days after Short threatened to kill her and himself with a knife. The couple share a daughter named Ayala who was born in 2012. Short was previously married to Brandi Short–together they share a teenage son, but the couple divorced in 2003.

He also had a very public relationship with Karrine Steffans, who is widely known for her tell-all industry books, Confessions of A Video Vixen and The Vixen Diaries. The two split after several public spats–Steffans accused Short of abuse and manipulation.

After moving on from his relationship with Steffans, Short met and proposed to his publicist, Aida Abramyan in 2016. He was arrested and released from jail in March after serving 34 days of a 1-year sentence for beating Abramyan. The two share a son.

He’s known for his roles in a variety of popular films, Broadway stints and tv shows including Stomp, Stomp The Yard and True To The Game.

He’s most widely known for his role on Scandal where he played one of the original “Gladiators,” Harrison Wright. Short was fired from the show in 2014 after McCall publicly aired his threats of violence, coupled with Short’s struggles with cocaine, marijuana and alcohol.

We’ll have to stay tuned to see if the police come knocking.
