Funny girl Tiffany Haddish is very serious when it comes to preserving her emotional, spiritual, mental and physical energy.

The “Girl’s Trip” star took to Instagram to share a message about using discernment when choosing sexual partners.

“When a man/woman makes love to you is he/she blessing you or is he/she cursing you?” the meme reads, accompanied by a drawing of a demon-like creature in bed with a woman. Haddish explained that this type of negative energy exchange is exactly why she’s not married anymore.

“This why I am not married anymore,” Haddish captioned the photo. “I refuse to allow someone to drain the life out of me. I can do that myself. I will wait for God to send me the one that recharges me. Thank You very much. Until then GO Away Satan in the name of Jesus.!!!!”

The concept of “soul ties” has become pervasive in Christian ideology, even though there is no biblical justification for it. The closest scripture that may indicate a “tie” is 1 Corinthians 6:16 that says:

“Do you not know that he who unites himself with a prostitute is one with her in body? For it is said, ‘The two will become one flesh.’” But even that indicates a physical tie versus a soul one.

Religion aside, the transferring of energy is real. The basic laws of physics say energy can not be created or destroyed, but just transformed or transferred from one entity to the next. Yes, that applies to negative or positive energy, so it definitely behooves us to be careful with who we invite into our spaces, whether it’s sexual or not.

Plus! If Haddish protecting her energy has aided her light speed glow up, we could all benefit from taking her advice.
