Last week, we reported that singer Jill Scott and her husband Mike Dobson had officially divorced, ending their 15-month marriage. But at the time, there were few details about how much money Jilly from Philly would have to come up off of. And given the contentiousness of this divorce, we knew her ex-husband wanted a few things—including the prenup to be thrown out.
But lucky for Jill, the judge was on her side.
According to Bossip, Scott has agreed to pay Dobson’s $47,815 car note as a part of their divorce settlement, leaving her husband free of the car note debt. And that’s about it.
Scott has also agreed to allow Dobson to return to her house to collect his personal property from the space, including his massage table, hotel robes (petty), a bathroom mirror and Prince’s Purple Rain album (valid). Dobson has also been tasked with revealing the identity of the owners of the dog the couple gave away.
Thankfully, the judge agreed to uphold the terms listed in Scott’s prenup. Neither she or Dobson will have to pay one another alimony.
While Scott’s lawyers have stated that they wouldn’t be commenting on the matter, Dobson’s attorney, James Cobb said, “We are very pleased with the resolution and hope the parties can now move on with their lives.”
From the looks of things, Scott already has. She recently uploaded a video of herself discussing Beyoncé and Jay Z’s On The Run II tour.

turning up with her girls. Those videos have since been deleted.
She seems good.
