They don’t call her Badgirlriri for nothing.

In a new interview for her historic British Vogue cover (she’s the first Black woman to be on the cover of that edition for the famous September issue), Rihanna is asked about being one of the only women that both men and fellow women can’t seem to get enough of. When asked why, the 30-year-old singer joked that it must be the curves.

“OK, you’re asking the wrong person,” she said. “I don’t know, maybe it’s because I’m ‘thicc’ now. I don’t know.”

After being complimented about having a little more meat on her bones, Rihanna admitted that she has plans to get back back on a workout schedule and change her eating habits, even though she’s sad about the idea of seeing certain things on her body go.

“I’m about to get back into the gym and stuff, and I hope I don’t lose my butt or my hips or all of my thighs,” she said. I’ll lose some but not all. And I think of my boobs, like, ‘Imma lose everything, everything goes!’ But, you know, it comes with a price. You want to have a butt, then you have a gut.”

And while she’s enjoyed empowering other women to not be so harsh on their bodies as they shift in size, Rih says she is going to get back to exercise and a cleaner diet because time has a way of not being too kind to the body if you get too lax.

“I love it. I just need to get healthy and stay healthy because I’m 30 now, you know, I can’t play them games no more. Can’t play the mac’n’cheese-in-the-middle-of-the-night games.”

She recently said, in American Vogue, that she was just fine with “all of the bodies” she has.

“You’ve just got to laugh at yourself, honestly. I mean, I know when I’m having a fat day and when I’ve lost weight. I accept all of the bodies,” she said. “I’m not built like a Victoria’s Secret girl, and I still feel very beautiful and confident in my lingerie.”
