(Atlanta Journal Constitution) — Arguing against Atlanta’s $559 million city budget last month, Felicia Moore likened herself to a crazy lady who walked the streets and prophesied doom. The outspoken city councilwoman seemed to relish this image with an added spin to it.
“She is saying that the world is coming to an end and you walk past her thinking she is crazy,” Moore said. “I am the person with the sign. But I think everyone else is crazy.”
In many ways the 2011 budget was defined by Mayor Kasim Reed pushing for several new initiatives and Moore fighting them. She was the opposition. When the council approved the budget 12-1, Moore was the lone dissenting vote.
