Brande Victorian eloquii

While us plus-size ladies are still asking to be more included in the fashion industry, there are some brands that choose to include us, exclusively, from the outset and Eloquii is one of them.

The New York and Ohio based retailer sells trendy apparel in sizes 14-28, from swimsuits and outerwear to occasion dresses, casual clothes, and work attire. And, knowing not all full-figured bodies are alike, the company also sells different fits in some of its bestselling items, like the Kady pant, which can be bought in the Gena fit for ladies who are fuller in the midsection; the Viola if you are 1-2 sizes smaller on top; or the classic Kady fit if you’re evenly proportioned.

The brand drops new collections nearly weekly on Eloquii.com and has storefronts in Arlington, Virgina, Chicago, and Columbus, with a Detroit location opening soon. And the retail value on the items is never the final price once they hit your cart, as the retailer has sales every single day, like 40% off select (almost every) styles.

Recently, I was invited to come by the fashion company’s Brooklyn office where their designs are conceptualized and captured on camera for their catalogs and lookbooks. While there, I had a chance to pull a few items of my liking and have my own photoshoot. And while picking out items from racks and racks of clothing was no easy feat (did I mention I love shopping?), I settled on seven pieces every woman absolutely needs to add to her wardrobe right now.

Brande Victorian Eloquii Neoprene Pencil Skirt

Neoprene Pencil Skirt ($69.90)

This versatile skirt is available in literally 28 different colors/patterns on Eloquii.com which means you’ll definitely be tempted to purchase more than one (as you should!). The scuba fabric smooths your silhouette while making the skirt wearable in any season and the length makes it a perfect choice for church, the office, brunch, and anywhere else life takes you.

Brande Victorian Eloquii moto jacket

Moto Jacket ($149.90)

Adding this red jacket was a fun and easy way to dress down my look and add even more color to the monochrome color palette. And a moto jacket is the perfect in-between season outerwear garment because, while it’s not quite warm enough to step out bare-armed, it’s, thankfully, too warm for your winter parka right now.

Brande Victorian eloquii a-line skirt with pleats

A-Line Skirt with Pleats ($59.90)

Another super versatile item from Eloquii is this A-line skirt which is made of knit, again, making it a nice transitional fabric to go from winter to summer. And the bright red fabric and skater silhouette keep things fun and flirty. Paired with a white bodysuit, the look is clean, simple, and fresh.

Ali Blazer *similar* ($99.90)

And for another pop of color you can add a bright colored blazer like I did here with this mustard yellow option. I rarely wear blazers because they tend to make me look boxy and never fit quite right at the shoulder or wrist, but I immediately loved the cut of this one. The one-button lapel added shape right where I needed it — the waist — and flare right beneath where I carry most of my weight to create more of an hourglass figure.

Floral Print Wide Leg Pant Brande Victorian eloquii

Floral Print Wide Leg Pant (coming soon)

Hear me when I say you need to get on the waitlist for these pants now! I’m always hesitant to try on a pair of slacks because they tend to gather around my stomach and fit too tight on my thighs but this pair fit like a glove. The leg is modest in width so I didn’t look like I was swimming in the pants which often happens when I try on wide leg pants because of my short stature. Paired, again, with a white bodysuit, these floral pants scream spring and are workcation flexible.

Snap Sleeve Easy Tee Dress ($89.90)

Every woman needs a little black dress, but I’d also argue every woman needs a little colorful spring dress as well, and this easy tee option will soon be mine. Lightweight knit keeps sweat at bay in this marmalade orange dress with gold button accents on the sleeves. The relaxed fit also makes the dress easy to dress up or down with heels or flats.

Tuxedo Dress (coming soon) Ruffle Trim Double Breasted Blazer ($139.90)

This dress is absolutely my favorite of them all. Though my workplace is nowhere near fancy enough to wear this, this tuxedo dress is exactly the type of work attire I thought I’d be rocking when I got my job in the big apple. Sleek, sophisticated, cinching — this plaid printed number hits in all of the right places and instantly makes you feel like a boss. This item is coming to the site soon, but in the meantime, I advise you to check out the blazer that’s currently available in the same print.
