(The Business Review) — A new report concludes that minority- and women-owned businesses in New York are discriminated against in the private sector and in the state’s contracting process.
State economic development officials intend to use the study, released Wednesday, to force better compliance with the state’s MWBE contracting requirements. The study may also serve as a tool for writing stronger MWBE laws.
