(Washington Informer) — Councilmember Michael A. Brown authored and introduced “The Arizona Divestment Resolution of 2010″ on Tue., May 4. He was joined in this action by Council Chairman Vincent C. Gray, who co-introduced the bill, and by the other eleven members of the DC Council. The Council Resolution urges the District government and the DC Retirement Board to divest in state and municipal bonds issued by the state of Arizona and that no public funds from the District of Columbia will be used to support participation at any conference or event held in the state of Arizona.
