I’m sure you’ve heard the super crazy story that surfaced last week about a young man, Brandon Howard, claiming that he is the son of the late Michael Jackson. Howard’s mother is Grammy nominated R&B singer Miki Howard (“Come Share My Love”? “Love Under New Management” anyone?), who at the time of the story breaking, had not spoken openly about her son’s claims. We haven’t really taken on this story because it all seemed all over the place, but we found Miki Howard’s recent statement about the whole messy situation to be quite interesting. With the claims that her son has made, folks like TMZ have tried to say that the singer was the woman Michael Jackson was referring to in “Billie Jean,” but she responded to say that’s not true, yet she kept her answer very vague on whether or not she had a baby with the King of Pop:
“I love and support my son and the Jackson family. The Jacksons are good [sic] very friends. They are beautiful people and have always been loving and supportive of me and my career. As to this claim – at this time I am not at liberty to discuss this as it is common practice in our business that celebrities have non-disclosure agreements. And, we are NOT suing anyone.
By the way…I am NOT ‘Billie Jean!'”
See? We told you her statement was super vague. Somebody is lying in all of this, and since Michael isn’t around anymore to defend himself against such rumors, we’ll have to wait and see what happens. Anywho, what do you think of her son’s claims and Mikki’s response? Share your thoughts below.
