(WSJ.com) — U.S. Senate leaders have scheduled their second big showdown in less than 24 hours on financial overhaul legislation for Tuesday afternoon, ratcheting up the pressure on lawmakers from both sides of the aisle.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D., Nev.) said lawmakers will vote on a procedural motion at 4:30 p.m. EDT to see whether they can begin debate on the legislation overhauling regulation of U.S. financial markets.
