(Atlanta Business Chronicle) — Declaring that politics in Washington is broken by “hyper-partisanship,” Georgia Labor Commissioner Michael Thurmond Wednesday formally announced his candidacy for the U.S. Senate.
Thurmond, a Democrat, will seek his party’s nomination to oppose incumbent Republican Sen. Johnny Isakson.
