(WSJ) If you tune into CBS’s coverage of the NCAA tournament, the announcer most likely to sound like he’s having the time of his life is Gus Johnson.
While he has become famous for his tournament buzzer-beater calls, Mr. Johnson, 42, is also the radio voice for the New York Knicks, NFL on CBS, games on the Big Ten Network and boxing and mixed martial arts for Showtime. He chatted with The Wall Street Journal in between assignments in Buffalo about the most memorable games he’s called, his popularity with sports bloggers and why he has his fingers crossed that LeBron James will sign with the Knicks.
