5 Natural Beauty Techniques to Refresh Your Look

Contrary to what many think, you don’t have to go to a spa to feel completely refreshed. You’d be surprised what items in your home can create a total body experience with very little effort.
Check out our quick list of easy beauty techniques that will refresh you just in time for Monday morning.
1. Mani/Pedi with a Lemon Sugar Scrub
Ingredients:
1/2 cup of brown sugar
1 tablespoon of olive oil
2 tablespoons lemon juice
Procedure:
1. Mix all ingredients in a small bowl.
2. Apply to hands or feet above the tub or sink, so you don”t make a mess. Scrub thoroughly for 2-3 minutes.
3. When done scrubbing, rinse briefly with lukewarm water and pat dry.
4. Apply your favorite moisturizer if desired.
2. Mint Cucumber Facial
Ingredients:
2 large cucumbers
1 tablespoon of water
2 teaspoons of lemon juice
1/4 cup of fresh mint leaves
Procedure:
1. Wash the cucumbers and cut them into large pieces. Puree the pieces in a food processor or blender until they are completely smooth. Strain the pureed cucumber into a bowl. Discard the liquid, and measure 1/2 cup of the solids to use in the cucumber mint facial mask.
2. Put the cucumber solids in a glass bowl and microwave them with the water and lemon juice for 4 minutes.
3. Stir in the mint extract or chopped mint leaves and mix well. Microwave the mixture for an additional 5 minutes.
4. Allow the cucumber mint facial mask to cool until it’s just warm to the touch.
5. Pour the mixture into a sterile glass jar with a tight lid, and store it in the refrigerator for up to 1 month.
3. Mayonnaise Deep Conditioner
Ingredients:
1/2 cup of real mayonnaise
Procedure:
1. Comb the mayonaisse through your damp hair
2. Wrap your head in a towel, let it penetrate for 20 minutes.
3. Shampoo
4. Coconut Milk Skin Soother
Ingredients:
1/2 cup of coconut milk
1 tbsp of fine oatmeal
1. Heat the coconut milk on stove or microwave until lukewarm.
2. Add to the oatmeal and mix well.
3. Apply to rough (perhaps your face, elbows, knees and heels). Leave on for 10-15 minutes.
4. Rinse off thoroughly.
5. Nap!
One of the best ways to refresh your mind and body is to take a nap. Experts have proven that short 20-30 minutes naps do wonders for your health. So make that time! Schedule it in if you have to and take that quick nap.
