This just keeps getting more dramatic every day.

Three days after Lohan was sentenced to 90-days in jail, her attorney Shawn Chapman Holley resigns. There was some speculation that Holley would be departing from the case as Lohan is expected to appeal the judgement made in the L.A. circuit court. Although Holley referred to the judge’s ruling as “harsher than what others would have received under similar circumstance,” Lohan is only expected to serve 25 percent of her time (23 days) and be removed from other inmates.

Holley hasn’t made any formal statements as to why she backed out, but Lohan was prepared.

According to People Magazine:

Lohan may have already hired a new attorney in her criminal case, according to police.

“We got a call yesterday from a female identifying herself as Tiffany Feder-Cohen,” says L.A. Sheriff’s spokesman Steve Whitmore. “She introduced herself as Lindsay Lohan’s new attorney. I can’t get into details about why she called, but the bottom line is that we at the sheriff’s department only do what the courts instruct us to do.”

Calls to Feder-Cohen’s office were not returned.

“Lindsay is determined to not go to jail, get new attorneys and just appeal it,” says a source close to the actress. “She seems totally with it, smart and knows what she wants.”

Somehow we think this is just the beginning of the Lohan saga. Wonder if this will be like “The Young and the Restless” with surprise guests running into the courtroom!
