Long before she checked Caitlyn Jenner, Amanda Seales has been outspoken. I know she’s not the characters she plays but the first time I saw her on tv, playing Dionne on “My Brother and Me,” she wasn’t afraid to speak her mind. With anyone who frequently shares their opinion, there are bound to be times when they get it wrong, times when your opinions attract more ire than praise.
That’s where Seales found herself today when she tweeted this.
While some folk understood what Amanda was trying to say about priorities, there were others who felt her comments were classist and condescending. I took particular issue with the word “losing.” Here are the varying opinions on the following pages.
