Remember when Jessee Williams was the epitome of #WokeBae? Well, a new couple on the block has totally eclipsed the actor’s standing because what’s better than one beautiful, woke individual? Two who are in love –or at least in like.
Last night, Common and Angela Rye made their debut appearance as a couple at the Creative Arts Emmys, posing on the carpet together in a stance that clearly let the world know they’re more than friends. And proving speculation about their photo opp was indeed correct, the political analyst shared a post on Instagram congratulating Common on his win, noting that “It’s only the beginning” when it comes to their relationship and the work they plan to do together.
“Super proud of this guy for having a big #EGO, which is not to be confused with a big ego,” Rye wrote. “Here he is giving thanks to the Almighty for his Emmy just like he does for taking every breath, every single day. I’m thankful for his tremendous example of humility, leadership, kindness, and creativity. May we all be inspired to #WORKwoke. ✊🏾💕 #heisSOdope#itsjustthebeginning #TonyhereheCOMES#soblessed Prov. 3:5-6 * (if you haven’t heard “Letter to the Free” you’re missing out…download post haste).”
We’ll definitely be keeping an eye out to see what’s next from these two. Is it a match made in woke heaven?
