Who says Black women don’t care about fitness?
With the help of social media, plenty of fitness enthusiasts are using their platforms to give dietary advice, share workout tips and encourage other women to get moving. Even celebrities are becoming fitness enthusiasts. Quite a few stars showed us how they get in shape and inspired many of us to get in the gym and change our eating habits. Say what you want about having money, chefs or pricey personal trainers, but you can’t do anything without drive and work ethic. Check out 10 Black women who have all of that and more. They gave us serious fitness goals in 2016:
Teyana Taylor
Everyone knew that the singer and dancer was in great shape, but when she showed off her bangin’ body in Kanye West’s “Fade” video, she left jaws dropped all over the place. Who looks that amazing after a baby?
Teyana Taylor, duh.
Simone Biles
Not only did she inspire us with her incredible performance at the Summer Olympics in Rio, but Biles’s muscles left us all wanting to spruce up on our back-flips and cartwheels.

Elise Neal
Turning 50 is a major milestone in life, but turning 50 and looking this great while doing so is a pretty big deal. Hence the reason Neal and her body had everyone talking earlier this year. Go ‘head, sis!
AJ Johnson
Johnson is all about helping you get not only your body on point, but also your mind and spirit. The wellness expert helps followers “turn excuses into actions” and encourages them to eat better and try health cleanses. With hard work, you too could have some sick abs like Johnson.

Angela Simmons
Just because you’re pregnant doesn’t mean you can’t be active while waiting for your little one to drop. Angela Simmons reminded everyone of that by doing some intense workouts throughout the entirety of her workout. Of course, she had the green light from her doctor to put in that work since she exercises often.
Tina Knowles-Lawson
Solange and Beyoncé get it from their mama. The 62-year-old dropped some pounds after dropping Mathew Knowles, and she’s maintained her toned frame with regular workouts that she shares via Instagram.
Gabrielle Union
Another ageless beauty, Union has said that minimizing her stress and drinking a gallon of water a day has helped her stay youthful. However, she is also down for a great workout, including running around the Great Wall of China, which she did earlier this year.

Adina Howard
She was a sex symbol in the early ’90s and Adina Howard is still one. She posted a picture of herself standing tall and fierce on Twitter and had everyone agreeing that she’s still a hottie at 42. But, of course, Howard didn’t need anybody to tell her what she already knows.
Meagan Good
From working out alongside her husband to kicking butt and taking names in Taekwondo classes, Meagan Good has played no games in the gym this year. With Good starring in an upcoming TV reboot of Foxy Brown, it only makes sense that she would want to get in fighting shape.
Mo’Nique
Mo’Nique has not only slimmed down over the years, but she’s managed to keep the weight off. That’s why we were excited to see the beauty showing off her hard work with friends on the beach. She continues to keep it right and tight with consistent workouts, including taking dance classes with celebrity fitness trainer Dwight Holt.
Serena Williams
Whether she was dominating on the court, working up a sweat off the court or just showing out on the cover of countless magazines this year, Williams was and will always be Queen Supreme when it comes to fitness goals.
