There’s pretty much nothing you can’t do on the internet these days. Too lazy to grocery shop? No worries, there’s an app for that. Need to relax and treat yourself to some much needed TLC? There’s an app for that. Looking for love? There’s definitely an app for that.

Basically, everything is app-centric and friendly. And now, if you’re a woman looking to expand your girl friend roster, there’s an app for that too, called Hey! VINA. Let’s be clear, too, we’re not talking the friends-with-benefits kind, more so a BFF. According to Tech Crunch, a startup company called VINA launched an app at the top of the year that ” operates a lot like a Tinder, but is aimed at women seeking new friends.” Founders and real life friends Olivia June Poole and Jen Aprahamian, who also worked together at General Assembly, said they started building the app because making friends was a “personal pain point”  they often moved and traveled for work and wanted a better way to meet new girlfriends in the area.

Just like an other personable app, users upload pictures and profiles and are linked with females who share their same interests and have compatible personalities by a matching algorithm that uses account information like mutual friends, proximity, and data from quizzes you take in the app.

While the app seems a bit corny, Poole says it’s harder to fight the evolving trend of cell phones than embrace it. “We can’t force people to change. We can’t force an entire culture to be like, ‘okay, everybody put down your phone. If we can help people adapt and fulfill their needs…we think that’s great.”

The very outspoken Love & Hip Hop New York star Cardi B stopped by The Doctors and shared her thoughts on the app.

Well, ladies, if you’re in the market for the ultimate gal pal squad, Hey! VINA is just a click away.
