Technology sure is fascinating.
That’s all I could say after I learned about the new Onyx + Pearl toys for couples in a long-distance relationship.
While most people who try and keep their relationship afloat from afar have to rely on phone sex or over Skype and Facetime, the toys from brand Kiiroo are allowing people to connect with one another from afar. Literally.
Note: This is going to get a little graphic, so if you’re the sensitive “I wish MN would write about sex in a different way” type I see from time to time, then this story is not for you.
Anywho, the product, which makes its debut in the BBC III documentary The Virtual Reality Virgin, comes with a rectangular box and a dildo. The woman takes the dildo, and her partner takes the box. He inserts his penis into it (the box is supposed to act as your vagina), and the woman inserts the dildo into her vagina. When you ride the dildo, the man can feel the pulsating sensations through the expanding hole in the rectangular box. The man can stroke the top of the box to make the corresponding dildo vibrate inside of you. Freaky, right? (Pun absolutely intended.) For those in same-sex relationships, they have similar toys that do the same thing. While it may not be skin-to-skin sex, it’s a good option, especially since you weren’t having any skin-to-skin sex with your partner anyway.
Because the toys come as a pair, they cost a pretty penny. Specifically, $369. However, when it comes to finding a way to make sex enjoyable as a couple in a long-distance relationship, this product definitely seems to do the trick. Therefore, it just might be worth it.
But what do you think?
