Everyone obsessed with the TV show Hoarders has been dying for a celebrity episode since the famous reality show started. If the blue-collar, everyday people from our favorite episodes can stack their houses from floor to ceiling, we can only imagine how celebrities with big money and loads of crap might let their homes get cluttered with all kind of things.
Unfortunately, the A-list is less than likely to take a detour towards the reality TV circuit. Thankfully, these celebrities weren’t afraid to admit that their collections may have gotten a little out of control. Get ready to be pretty surprised about the celebrities who made this list. Would you have guessed what’s going on behind these Hollywood walls?
Heidi Klum
Heidi Klum has kept nearly every handbag, shoe and garment from the more than 20 years she’s spent in the fashion industry. She told ET Canada, “You know what it is – I’m a hoarder, and I just hoard and hoard and hoard.”
Jermaine Jackson
Remember the time Jermaine Jackson shut down his episode of Wife Swap when they tried to have a hoarding intervention because of all the clothes in his closets (and in the hallways…and in most of the other bedrooms?)
Lindsay Lohan
We all found out about actress Lindsay Lohan’s hoarding habits when Niecy Nash sat down with her on The Insider. Lohan said she had trouble collecting and keeping everything, but especially shoes.
Demi Moore
Actress Demi Moore has so many vintage dolls that she had to build them their own house. Her ex Ashton Kutcher was not a fan. He told Conan O’Brien when he was still married to Moore, “They’re always looking at you – we have some in the bedroom and that makes things just weird.”
Mariah Carey
When your house is diva-sized, you can’t help but be a collector. And Mariah Carey has a lot of collections. She collects butterflies, perfume bottles, Hello Kitty accessories and “all things feminine” — and remember the massive room of lingerie she revealed on Oprah? Thank goodness she’ll never have to downsize!
Kristin Chenoweth
Actress Kristin Chenoweth stated: “I love quarters. I obsess on saving them…. I have jars of quarters. I stash them away and the minute I get home from a shopping trip or any trip, I put all the quarters away and I save the quarters.”
Kevin McCrary
Did you know there was even a celebrity episode of Hoarders? Hollywood heir Kevin McCrary starred in his own episode featuring a home so bad that not even his celebrity friend Ron Jeremy could help him clean it up.
Will Ferrell
Speaking of diva-sized collections, comedian Will Ferrell has $7.8 million worth of rare birds in his home.
Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt
Remember that time we all got a glimpse of reality stars Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt’s pad? Hopefully they’ve cleaned things up since then.
Lisa Kudrow
Friends star Lisa Kudrow keeps day planners from the ’80s, old faxes, and almost anything personal. But while we’re sure she’s seen Hoarders, Kudrow said she refuses to feel bad about her habit — because one day future biographers will be glad she saved all of that stuff.
Paris Hilton
When Paris Hilton told Ellen DeGeneres that she owns 17 dogs, everyone whose seen those pet episodes of Hoarders felt a little shiver down their spine.
Nick Cannon
Speaking of celebrities with a lot of apparel, during an Instagram shoe collection battle with Chris Brown, Nick Cannon revealed this small portion of his incredible shoe collection. We don’t know how many pairs of shoes a celebrity can own before it’s time for an intervention, but this one doesn’t just fill several rooms, it fills several homes. Wonder where he keeps his pair worth $2 million?
