These celebrity men have found themselves under fire for their comments about women. Do you think they’re incurably sexist? Or could their comments have been taken out of context?

T.I.

T.I. fans are still having trouble believing his comments about the idea of Hillary Clinton — or any woman — as president:

“Not to be sexist but, I can’t vote for the leader of the free world to be a woman. Just because, every other position that exists, I think a woman could do well. But the president? It’s kinda like, I just know that women make rash decisions emotionally – they make very permanent, cemented decisions – and then later, it’s kind of like it didn’t happen, or they didn’t mean for it to happen.

And I sure would hate to just set off a nuke. [Other leaders] will not be able to negotiate the right kinds of foreign policy; the world ain’t ready yet. I think you might be able to get the Lochness Monster elected before you could [get a woman].”

He has since apologized. But find out what one particularly powerful woman had to say in response.

Michael Che

After seeing a video about women’s struggles with street harassment, Saturday Night Live‘s Michael Che Tweeted:

“I wanna apologize to all the women that I’ve harassed with statements like ‘hi’ or ‘have a nice day’ or ‘you’re beautiful.’ I cant image what that must feel like.”

Well, that was certainly sarcastic.

Snoop Dogg

The rap legend recently got in trouble for interrupting a CBC interview to call the camerawoman “thick” and a host of other adjectives that made everyone uncomfortable. Watch the video for yourself here.

Trevor Noah

The comedian and new Daily Show host tweeted this about “fat chicks…”

“Oh yeah the weekend. People are gonna get drunk & think that I’m sexy!” – fat chicks everywhere.”

and white women…

“A hot white woman with a– is like a unicorn. Even if you do see one, you’ll probably never get to ride it.”

He posted all this several years before he became the new face of the Daily Show. When the tweets resurfaced, some questioned whether his kind of humor made him the right to take over for Jon Stewart.

Big Sean

When asked if he would rather dress as a woman or a Nazi for six months, Big Sean replied, “I’d rather dress as a Nazi, because I’m black, so that just don’t make no sense.”

What do you think about that response?

Chris Evans and Jeremy Renner

Tons of fans tweeted in protest when Avengers stars Chris Evans (Captain America) and Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye) jokingly called co-star Scarlett Johansson’s character Black Widow a “slut” and a “whore” during a press conference.

Adam Sandler

Rose McGowan posted this tweet blasting Adam Sandler’s ridiculous casting requirements for an upcoming film.

President Obama

Is failing to use a politician’s proper name sexist? That’s what President Obama’s critics claimed when he recently called senator Elizabeth Warren by her first name.

Donald Trump

The presidential hopeful has made so many sexist comments on the campaign trail that someone made a list of all of them.

A$AP Rocky

Rita Ora called rapper A$AP Rocky out for some shocking lyrics about her in his single “Better Things.”

She told Hot 97, “I’m not looking at it like ‘you’re upsetting me’ because I don’t actually give a sh*t… But I don’t want people to think it’s OK to speak about women like that. That’s it. I don’t care what you say about me. I don’t give a flying f***. I’m very happy with what I do, and I’m proud of who I am, and what I represent.”

John McEnroe

The former tennis star raised a few eyebrows during his interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live when he said this about a match between himself and Serena Williams:

“Serena, she’s got a lot to lose by losing to an old fart like myself. I’ve got a lot to lose, because if I lose to, God forbid, a woman, then I’m not allowed in any men’s locker room for the next 15 years or possibly the end of my life.”
