Erika Liles is not just a fabulous mommy but she also devotes her time to activism and loves to help improve access to quality education and health disparities among at risk populations. Some of Erika’s passion stemmed from a 13 year career in the healthcare industry and she has received several awards and accolades for her experience and expertise.
She is also philanthropist and has been tied to several charities including The American Diabetes Association of Atlanta, Kevin Liles For A Better Baltimore Foundation, Junior Achievement, Frank Ski Kids Foundation, and New Yorker’s for Children. She is married to Kevin Liles and is a step mom to his son Kevin Jr, 13, and daughter Kayla, 11. Erika and Kevin also have two little loves of their own. Recently Erika gave birth to Valentina Liles who came in 8lbs, 14oz on October 23, 2014. They also have a 3-year-old named Genevieve who was born September 20th 2011.
She posted on her instagram about just how miraculous life can be:
“Look At God, Won’t He Do It: I was told by 3 doctors that I had less than a 1% chance of getting pregnant naturally and that I was NOT a candidate for IVF or other fertility interventions. After letting go and letting GOD…8 months later, at 41 years-old, I was pregnant, on my own-naturally! This after getting pregnant with baby #1 naturally, with no issues. #MyTestimony #MiracleBaby”
