Well, this is uncomfortable. Contest judge and TV producer Simon Cowell is, at age 53, reportedly expecting his first child with his friend’s wife, according to Us Weekly. New York socialite Lauren Silverman, wife of real estate king Ace Silverman, is in the process of finalizing her divorce, but oops! She’s allegedly ten weeks along in her pregnancy. Um, congratulations?
One of those mysterious tabloid sources told Us Weekly that as her marriage to Ace was falling apart, the 36-year-old Silverman got close to Cowell, who’d always been around as a close friend anyway. Cowell had always said he didn’t think he would ever have children, citing his dedication to his work and his insanely busy schedule. If the news is true, congrats to the couple. Hopefully, Simon will get over his shock soon and step up to the role of being a dad.
